PipsAlerts Policy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how PipsAlerts handles website data, trading tool inputs, account-related information, and the PipsAlerts Risk Badge browser extension.

Website Data

PipsAlerts publishes educational trading tools and guides. The public website may process standard technical data such as request logs, device information, browser type, referring pages, and basic analytics signals used to keep the website secure and reliable.

Trading Tool Inputs

When you use a PipsAlerts tool, you may enter portfolio, journal, risk, or news-related information. Tool inputs are used to produce the requested result. Do not enter information you consider confidential unless you are comfortable using it with an online tool.

Accounts and Saved Results

If account features or saved results are enabled, PipsAlerts may store the information needed to provide those features, such as email address, saved tool output, and usage history. Users should only save information they want associated with their account.

Cookies and Analytics

PipsAlerts may use basic analytics and operational cookies to understand site performance, detect errors, and improve pages. We do not use tool inputs to provide personalized financial advice.

Browser Extension

PipsAlerts Risk Badge Privacy

PipsAlerts Risk Badge is a lightweight Chrome and Edge extension for calculating trading risk. The extension does not collect, sell, transmit, or share personal data with PipsAlerts or third parties.

Local Storage

Account defaults, risk defaults, current calculator values, selected trade text, and recent calculations are stored only in local browser storage on the user device.

No Remote Collection

Calculator values, selected text, browsing history, and saved calculations are not sent to PipsAlerts servers or third-party services by the extension.

User-Initiated Links

If the user clicks Open with values, the extension opens the PipsAlerts risk calculator with calculator values included in the URL query string.

Extension permissions are limited to local storage, context menus, and clipboard writing. These permissions support saved defaults, right-click trade idea parsing, and copying the user-generated risk summary.
